Kiss Cut
We are very proud to present the newest thing in packaging techniques, the Kiss-cut. As opposed to the regular way of making the perforation and then applying the label, the kiss-cut first applies the label and then makes the perforating cut. This provides a couple of advantages, firstly since the label is applied before the cut, it greatly reduces the chance of channel forming. Secondly it eliminates the risk of tension in the film causing premature opening of the cut.
Using exact servo-motors and a rotary die the kiss-cut delivers reliable exact cutting with an accuracy of 3 microns (0.000 003 SI metres or 0.000 118 inches) at over 200 packs per minute. Our prototype of the second generation reseal-it kiss machine even manages over 450 packs per minute, and is spectacular to watch.
